This is is a 26 inch long hand-knotted necklace. The beads are black fresh-water pearls with faceted crystal glass accent beads. The necklace is finished with a silver-plated lobster claw clasp.
These black pearls are not dyed. The Tahitian Black-lipped Oyster is unique in that the nacre of the inner shell is black, not the cream-white of other oysters. The resultant pearls, whether natural or farmed will be black with a silver sheen.
